As revolutionaries who sought and obtained the magic of the ancient dragons, Sorceresses wreak havoc on enemies by showering them with potent elemental magic. Although weak in close combat, a long range position allows them the space to utterly decimate their enemies.
The mistresses of magic are said to have descended from the dragons. There once was a time when only dragons could wield such arcane powers, but the Sorceresses have since learned to harness them as well. Their magic attacks can deal mortal blows to enemies, or conjure creatures from the nether world to battle in their stead.

Playable Races[]
Only a pure descendent of the Elven race possess the grace and finess to be a Sorceress. An Elven Sorceress has chosen to align herself with nature and the ancient dragons.
Playstyle[]
Traditionally, Sorceresses are wielders of arcane and elemental magics, sometimes referred to as amber magic. In DKO, Sorceresses not only wield amber magic, but also dabble in bardic magic for the purpose of being able to induce sleep. They function primarily as DPS, but may also learn party support abilities.
Elemental Mastery[]
Sorceresses use high-impact elemental spells to burst down their enemies’ health. All four basic elements are employed in a Sorceress’ attacks: air, earth, water, and fire.

Sorceresses focus on Wisdom for an increase in their mana pool and mana regeneration, with a significant secondary preference in Intellect for spellpower increase.
Constitution, Strength, and Dexterity should be altogether ignored by a Sorceress, since they are physically very weak and possess no aptitude for physical combat.

Skill Builds[]
The Sorceress Farming build is intended to maximize damage while maintaining survivability. It focuses on high damage spells, spellpower boosts, high mana regeneration, and the tanking pet. Key skills include Lightning Storm, Elemental Adept, Summon Elemental, and Celerity. The periodic spellcasting speed boost from Concentration may not seem like much, but over time it can greatly increase the Sorceress' effectiveness. |
The Sorceress Glass Cannon build assumes that the Sorceress herself is not taking damage; instead, her role is purely to do as much damage as possible. Key skills include Solar Flare, Concentration, Firestorm, and Celerity. Because of the level cap, neither Firestorm nor Celerity may be maxed out at this time. Further testing is needed to determine whether it is more beneficial to keep level 1 of both skills or sacrifice skill points in one for the other. |
The major Sorceress PvP build focuses on high mana regeneration, shielding, movement speed reduction, and quick-cast quick-recharge damage spells. Key skills include Celerity, Earthbind, Frost Shield, and Haste. While the elemental helper must be picked up to meet skill point requirements to progress through the skill tree, it is not crucial. |
